Super Bread Bowl
We made the dip bowl with refrigerated Pillsbury French bread dough (which, in case you're not familiar with, also goes by the name of Carb Crack; it has an addictive subtle sweetness and spot-on fluffiness). We filled the football with this totally delish Kale-Artichoke Dip, which is basically everything you love about spinach-artichoke dip, only with the trendiest leafy green of all time. Whether or not you bake it in a football made of bread, it's a crowd-pleaser.
Here's how the football bread bowl works:
1. GET 3 TUBES OF DOUGH
2. ROLL OUT FIRST TUBE INTO A SHEET
3. FORM A FOOTBALL SHAPE WITH THE OTHER TWO TUBES3. FORM A FOOTBALL SHAPE WITH THE OTHER TWO TUBES
4. TOOTHPICK THE SIDES
5. TRIM EXCESS—AND USE IT FOR FOOTBALL LACES
6. BRUSH WITH EGG WASH
Then you bake at 350 degrees F until lightly golden, fill it with dip, then continue baking until bread bowl is deeply golden and dip is bubbly.
